Pharrell got the better of a close finish to the Group Three Prix Noailles at ParisLongchamp.

A field of eight lined-up for this 10 ½ furlong contest.

From the gates, it was Flag Of Honour and Ryan Moore who were away best, but Young Fire soon went on from Vicopisano.

The front pair moved a couple of lengths ahead of Pharrell and Flag Of Honour.

Young Fire continued to lead down the false straight and turned for home with Vicopisano breathing down his neck, while Flag Of Honour was niggled along and raced alongside Pharrell, with Nobokhov next.

Into the straight, the action unfolded down the centre of the course, as Pharrell went on.

However, Flag Of Honour battled on towards the inside, with the pair joined by Alhadab late on.

The three came close together and in a close finish, it was Pharrell and Jean-Bernard Eyquem, who inched into the lead on the line.

It was desperately close for second, with Alhadab just pipping Flag Of Honour for second.

The Jean-Claude Rouget trained Pharrell, a son of Manduro, had been beaten by Latita, who had finished third earlier on the card in the Prix La Grotte.
